This is not a DIY blog. There are many aspects to the garage door and opener repairs that can be very dangerous and require a trained professional to perform the repairs, services or installation.

JMK has been in business for over 39 years and we are a full-service company. We sell, service, repair and install residential and commercial doors. Our installers and technicians are in-house employees. We do not subcontract our installation repairs or service. This gives us more control on the quality of work and scheduling of time.
Moving onto the garage door news, the state of California will implement a new law SB969 stating that all garage door openers sold and installed after July 1, 2019 in California must have a built in battery backup system and new doors purchased and installed after July 1, 2019 must be attached to an opener with a battery backup. Current openers that have an infrared safety system and they must comply to the UL325 law.
